A bit about how
Liz got into running herself and how she can help you:
“I started running years ago but was pretty hit and miss. I completed the Race for Life a few times but that was as far as I went. Then, three years ago, I started running more regularly between gym sessions as I was focused on shaping up for my wedding. It’s fair to say, running really shifts the pounds and I could see myself changing shape more quickly than I had been just visiting the gym.
At first, running outside felt harder than the treadmill, however, in just two weeks I noticed the route feeling easier and I was feeling more comfortable. Even when it was a real effort to get myself out the door, once I’d finished my run I was always buzzing – feeling re-energised and SO proud of myself. This year (less than 12 months after having my baby) I competed in a ladies only Duathlon (5km run, 20 km bike ride & another 5km run!). After that, I needed a new challenge and so completed the Great South Run covering 10 miles in horrid drizzle but raising over £700 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Now, I want to show other ladies that you don’t have to be Paula Radcliffe to enjoy running.... and even if like me, you think you’re not ‘built for running,’ it can still be a fantastic way to get fit!”
