"After spending many hours in my car driving for work and hunched over computers I suffered with ongoing neck and back ache. I felt I needed some direction and to be challenged in order to get the most of the short time I had available to exercise so I approached Gen for an initial chat...
We set about a programme to work towards my goals of improving my posture, muscle tone and overall fitness levels and to help with my desire to have enough energy and breath to increase my swimming lengths from 20 to 50.
After the first few sessions Gen had already sorted my neck problems (no more hunching) and knee clicks that I never even noticed before! I'm delighted to have achieved 50 lengths of the pool and still be able to stand and breathe. My clothes fit better and I have a lot more energy.
Gen is very passionate about what she does, easy going and full of patience for people like me who lack co-ordination! Our sessions are always fun and varied and she manages to push you that bit harder each time without you noticing. The time flies by and her encouragement has kept me on track and more positive and confident in what I'm doing.
Working out is now enjoyable instead of just a means to an end. I am now keen to take on a new challenge (perhaps the 10k run) and without Gen I would not have had the confidence. I would recommend without question, I feel I have a new friend as well as an expert personal trainer. Give it a go!
